Commissioning Specialist - Onshore Wind - Japan

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Commissioning Specialist to lead and execute commissioning activities for onshore wind projects under the certification and compliance framework of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring turbines are commissioned in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory standards unique to the Japanese market. Key Responsibilities:Oversee and execute commissioning activities for wind turbines from mechanical completion to full handover.Ensure compliance with METI requirements, including documentation, inspection processes, and regulatory reporting.Perform functional testing, grid synchronization, and performance validation in collaboration with OEMs and EPC partners.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases.Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and local stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Prepare and review commissioning documentation, punch lists, and completion reports.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout all commissioning activities.Provide training and technical support to local teams as needed.Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and audits related to commissioning and METI compliance. The scope for this role will be mainly focusing on processing supplier invoices for all entities and bank reconciliation. This position will provide you with the opportunity to develop core skills and experience in a finance sector. Responsibilities include:Communicating with suppliers to process invoice / payment queries.Downloading bank statements and processing transactions in Sage200 (soon to be Sage Intacct).Performing bank reconciliations.Performing Credit card's reconciliations.Processing supplier invoices and credit notes.Preparing suggested payment List & Processing payments of supplier invoices.Reconciling supplier ledger and resolving any discrepancies.Posting Intercompany invoices where necessary.Assist with month end closing to MA.Providing supporting document for Audits.Balance Sheet reconciliations.Additional duties as necessary. ERSG is currently looking for experienced HSE Advisor for a contract role in Norwich.Ideal candidate should have more then 3 years expedience ideally from onshore renewables/windfarm construction background and Nebosh (min level 3).The role is onshore site based supporting the Cable Route and National Grid interface scope at Swardeston Norwich and is expected to work on site or at the site office daily. Flexibility is required for occasional off project site visits for company and supplier internal/external meetings, which may also be overseas.The normal shift pattern is a 5-day week (Monday - Friday), 8-hour days.There may be some flexibility for occasional working from home if authorised by project management.Applicants must be local to the project and are expected to live within 60 minutes travel time of the site. The HSE advisor promotes and provides professional expert knowledge and guidance to managers, supervisors, employees and contractors on safe work practices, safety standards, and legal regulations, and supports identification and elimination of potential hazards and ensures control measures are in place.
