An aspect of the report aims to spotlight EIC member companies by highlighting a specific challenge faced in the past year and the steps taken to overcome that challenge. The EIC wants to know what it takes for businesses to not only survive, but truly thrive in today’s economy.

In this edition, ersg CEO Jim Ryan talks about challenges the company has faced after the global pandemic in 2020 and the adjustments ersg made in order to overcome adversity and continue to thrive today. In this report, the EIC tells the stories of businesses facing genuine struggles and the problem solving deployed to get these companies where they are today.

Jim Ryan talks about the challenge of venturing into new markets directly following the COVID19 pandemic, and how important it was to take a step back and focus on the ‘core capabilities’ of ersg in order to stay true to ersg’s original mission to be a ‘specialist recruitment company for the Renewable Energy markets’. Ultimately, Jim stresses the importance of risk-taking in business, and being able to reassess and take a new direction when faced with unexpected challenges.

ersg are optimistic about continuing our growth strategy in the coming years with a focus on out specialist markets. Along with these challenges come valuable lessons and we are excited to move forward with everything we’ve learned.
