Design Engineer - Fire Protection Systems

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer with expertise in Fire Protection Systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Microsoft Office. The role involves developing and optimizing fire protection designs in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. A background in Fire Protection design, along with relevant qualifications, is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and review fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with local and international fire safety standards.
  • Create, modify, and manage detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct clash detection, coordination, and model validation through Navisworks Manage to ensure design accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to integrate fire protection systems into overall project designs.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Identify and resolve design issues, ensuring functionality, compliance, and efficiency of fire protection systems.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to verify design implementation and troubleshoot any on-site issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Fire Protection design, with knowledge of relevant fire safety codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks Manage for creating and managing design models.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • Relevant qualifications in Fire Protection engineering or a related field (e.g., NICET Certification, Degree in Fire Protection Engineering).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or qualifications in fire safety, building codes, or fire suppression systems.
  • Experience in project management or leading fire protection projects.
