Snr Data Product Analyst (Profile)
with business and data analytics experience

Responsibilities

  • Work with key business stakeholders (Business Sponsors and Product Owners) to create a vision of the data products they wish to create and to repeatedly communicate that product vision
  • Communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including customers, business managers, and the development team, to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives
  • Work to ensure that the benefit and value of the data product is understood and agreed with the Business Sponsor and Product Owner, and agree how this will be baselined, monitored and realised
  • Work with the DNA delivery teams and change to ensure the product delivered is as expected, the product is adopted, working with business change to ensure all necessary change activities are delivered, provide initial support to our users and maintain regular catch ups with the Product Owner
  • Prioritisation and management of scope and product roadmaps developed, weighing priorities and making trade-offs according to the needs, budgets and objectives of stakeholders
  • Communicate with management and other stakeholders and advocate for ways to optimise the potential for desired outcomes (value)
  • Participate at the Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and product backlog refinement
  • Refine the quarterly roadmap, track outcomes in alignment with committed roadmaps, business benefits and adoption with the Business Product Owners

Experience

  • Roadmap planning and management, roadmap definition and SN. stakeholder engagement
  • Backlog planning and tracking, capacity planning across multiple products, burndown and other reporting metrics, velocity tracking and improvements on delivering vs commitments
  • Ability to capture requirements in epics, features and user stories
  • Experience in delivering data and analytics products: pipelines engineering, reporting, analytics and data science/ML
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
  • Good skills in coaching the teams on how to follow agile principles and deliver collaboratively
  • Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
  • Benefits articulation, management, reporting and realisation
  • Supporting data analysis skills

Desirable Skills

  • Data and Analytics experience gained in the Utilities sector is a plus
  • Roadmaps and delivery management
  • Stakeholder engagement and expectations management
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum & Kanban practices in real-world settings
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Data capabilities and Analytics Products
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms (PAAS) and data and analytics delivery lifecycle
  • Agile development practices implementation for a new team
  • Use of PowerBI or good knowledge of similar reporting tools, alongside any skills using data analysis tools
