A global leader in high-performance smart energy technology is seeking a QHSSE Manager to oversee all matters related to Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) in Japan. This role ensures that the QHSSE processes and systems are implemented and maintained in accordance with corporate guidelines, standards, current laws, and industry-recognized best practices.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise all QHSSE matters at locations in Japan and related projects.
- Implement and maintain management systems compliant with ISO9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Develop project-related QHSSE risk assessments, plans, and procedures.
- Advise management on QHSSE deficiencies and support improvement plans.
- Investigate and report incidents.
- Review customer and contractual QHSSE requirements and advise management.
- Plan and execute QHSSE audit schedules.
- Conduct safety inspections on-site.
- Manage the allocated QHSSE budget.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 5 years of professional experience in QHSSE-related roles.
- Proficiency in English for conversations, email correspondence, document review and creation, and attendance.
- Native-level Japanese language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- Degree in a related field, i.e engineering, marine, health and safety, environmental management, risk management
- Business level fluency in English
