Principal Infrastructure Engineer

A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on high-impact private sector projects across the UK.

The Role

This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer with a minimum of 8 years' experience, including consultancy work in private sector development. The role focuses on leading infrastructure design for highways, drainage, and regeneration projects, including Section 38, 278, and 104 designs. Key responsibilities include managing technical drawing production for planning and construction, overseeing project budgets, and leading teams of engineers and technicians.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or related) and ideally chartered with a professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, with strong knowledge of UK design codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Leadership and Project Management: Demonstrated success managing large projects, technical consent processes, and team workloads.
  • Problem-Solving: Independent decision-making with a collaborative approach to issue resolution.
