2x Commercial Business Analysts | Remote Ad Hoc Travel | Inside IR35

The Vendor Management Business Analyst role will play a crucial role within the commercial workstream of the Compass programme. The individual will be responsible for analysing recent contracts with large IT suppliers, proposing new ways of splitting services and bring recommendations to optimise service value.

Responsibilities include:
Contract analysis
Conduct in-depth analysis of large IT contracts, change requests (CRs) and contract change notes (CCNs) including HCL, ComputaCenter and a small number of others if required.
Understand service quality and delivery by conducting stakeholder interviews.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and SLAs, flagging any discrepancies or potential risks such as duplicate service spend (e.g. quantifying additional work that the business purchased from the base contract)
Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to share information that will help to renegotiate contracts, whilst aligning to business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Tactical recommendations
Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements with vendor contracts and agreements.
Develop high-level strategies to reduce cost, and optimise vendor spend while maintaining service quality and performance standards.
Recommend high level suggestions for service bundling, to provide commercially advantageous perspective to the Strategy Design & Transition (SD&T) team.

Inputs / Triggers
Commercial and Procurement Contract Management team to provide access to initial analyses, contracts, CRs and CCNs.
Stakeholder availability for end user interviews.
Strategic direction for SIAM model to be provided by the Programme (eg. Internal, External or Hybrid).

Outputs / Outcomes
Historical analysis and data interpretation for value and control issues, including a spend analysis.
Write-up on end user interviews.
Executive summary outlining tactical improvements for CRs, CCNs and existing contracts.
High level service bundling suggestions to feed into the SD&T team.

Scope
Key IT supplier contracts (eg. HCL, Computacenter) and any associated change requests in the last two years.
Recommendations to include plans on reducing spending, negotiating better value and ways of redirecting the current scope between the businessand external providers
