When will I be paid?

You will receive a payroll schedule along with your contractual documentation via Docusign which will outline the deadlines to submit your approved timesheets and when you can expect to receive payment.

Contract Queries

I’ve been sent a contract on Docusign, what parts of the contract do I sign?

The contracts team will assign an electronic signature box on any parts of the contract that you need to sign.

I’m working through an umbrella company, but I haven’t received my contract, when will I receive this?

As you are operating through an umbrella company, you will receive a contract directly through them as they are your employer. However, you will receive contractor transfer obligations from ERSG, that confirm you are starting a placement through your chosen umbrella company, along with any client specific documents and your timesheet information. Please note, although you are employed through your umbrella company, ERSG still have a legal requirement to have standard compliance documents on file for you.

What are Contractor Transfer Obligations?

Contractor Transfer Obligations outline the restrictions there are for entering into any contract with the end client, directly or indirectly for 12 months from the termination of your assignment

What is a Key Information Document?

They Key Information Document is an EXAMPLE document only that shows an estimate of the net payment to be issued after all deductions have been taken into account.

What is Professional Indemnity Insurance and why do I need this?

Professional indemnity insurance, also referred to as PI insurance, is a type of business insurance that covers you for costs if you make a mistake in a piece of work for a client that causes them financial or reputational loss. It is a contractual requirement that ERSG contractors obtain professional Indemnity insurance. Please note, if you are operating through an umbrella company, most umbrella companies will cover this insurance for you. You will also be covered for this insurance if you are operating under the ERSG PAYE solution.

What does professional indemnity insurance cover?

What is self-billing?

Self-billing is a finical agreement between ERSG and the supplier. It involves ERSG preparing the invoice on your behalf and sending it along with payment. Please note, if you opt out of self-billing, you will need to supply us with your own invoices in order to process payment.

Can you register to an umbrella company on my behalf?

Due to GDPR, we cannot register you to an umbrella company on your behalf. If we receive written permission from yourself that you are happy for your contact details to be passed on to an umbrella company, we can do this, but the registration must be completed by yourself.
