Principal Structural Engineer

Key activities

• Providing technical expertise and leadership to the project team as discipline lead for projects
• worldwide, from feasibility stage through detailed design.
• Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
• Finding structural design solutions in accordance with project requirements.
• Providing fabrication and construction support in accordance with project requirements.
• Preparation of high-quality analyses, reports, and checking of drawings.
• Contributing alongside experts to internal technical development.
• Contribute to the development of technical execution model for Offshore Wind.
• Co-create with clients and building relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Participate and contribute to internal training aimed at improving your skills and of younger
• colleagues in the offshore wind industry.
• Provide support for Junior Structural Engineers

Requirements

• B.SC., M.Sc. or PhD in structural, marine, or mechanical engineering and have significant experience
• with design of Offshore Wind or Offshore Oil & Gas jacket substructures.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with structural design, numerical analyses and load assessments.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations, for example DNV, IEC or ISO.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written).
• Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude with great collaboration skills.
• Competence in SESAM and/or Bladed is considered an advantage.
• Experience with automatization/programming in e.g. Python is an advantage.
