An ambitious foreign offshore wind developer is urgently looking for a cable installation manager who will be integral to into the Engineering Department and support offshore wind projects from the cable package. You will collaborate with a diverse team, ensuring the execution of cable solutions for sustainable future projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical experts to guide cable installation development for future offshore wind projects.
- Lead procurement efforts for cable installation contracts and vessel charters.
- Assess installation technologies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project packages.
- Handle cable installation contract management and interface with partner companies.
- Participate in budgetary proposal processes with offshore construction companies.
- Provide interface management to authorities and engage in Technology Innovation initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Logistics, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in offshore wind farm project development or large scale power project installation management.
- Proficiency in offshore construction contracts and vessel chartering.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multinational team.
- Willingness to work offshore on occasion.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with budgetary proposal processes.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese.
