A major regional renewable energy developer is seeking a skilled individual to oversee grid and utility-related aspects of projects, with a focus on design management and process supervision. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with consultants, constructors, and contractors to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving project-related issues, organizing meetings with regulatory bodies and vendors, conducting site visits for technical evaluation, and supporting the business development team in project evaluation and budget planning. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing requests for quotations, negotiating with subcontractors, and maintaining internal engineering standards and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage grid and utility-related aspects of projects, including design supervision, cost control, and schedule management.
- Identify, address, and resolve project-related problems as they arise.
- Coordinate meetings with regulatory bodies, utilities, vendors, and subcontractors, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate technical aspects of projects and generate comprehensive reports.
- Provide technical support to the business development team, assisting in project evaluation and budget planning.
- Prepare requests for quotations and negotiate with electrical subcontractors.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal engineering standards and processes.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on solar, wind, or battery projects.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Japanese and English.
