A major wind power company is looking for two field service engineers for onshore wind farms in Aomori and Hokkaido.   • Conduct routine monthly and yearly inspections of wind turbines.
  • Perform daily visual inspections, tighten bolts, and ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Respond to unexpected breakdowns promptly, diagnosing issues and resolving them efficiently.
  • Implement improvements to enhance turbine performance and reliability, collaborating closely with the technical team.
  • Provide regular reports and address technical queries from customers.
  • Coordinate with site managers to select, contract, and manage external maintenance partners.
  • Lead subcontractors effectively, fostering good cooperation with all involved parties.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of practical experience in a service field involving electrical or mechanical knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license for Japan.
  • Comfortable with English as technical manuals are in English (ability to read, write, and communicate at a basic level).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as an electrician or electrical supervisor. (電気工事士等)
  • Practical experience in machinery maintenance, production technology, or quality control.
  • Previous maintenance experience in automotive, maritime, aviation, or wind turbine industries.
