A regional wind develoepr is urgently looking for a Wind Resource Assessment Engineer to join their technical services department. As a key member of the team you'll lead the identification of mast and RSD locations, conduct value engineering analyses, and oversee project optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification of mast and RSD locations considering various constraints, timing, and layout requirements for power plant construction.
- Conduct value engineering and commercial optimization analyses for wind power projects, including thorough site condition assessments.
- Oversee mast and RSD location selection, data analysis, and management for both development and operational projects, while providing guidance to subcontractors and contractors.
- Conduct field visits to project sites for topographical assessments, mast and RSD inspections, and supervision of installation, maintenance, and removal activities.
- Manage the collection and referencing of project information, including land and survey data, according to established benchmarks.
- Plan measurement activities and offer efficient solutions to project challenges.
- Conduct troubleshooting on masts and RSDs as needed, and develop a comprehensive troubleshooting manual for LIDAR to maintain depersonalization.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in measurement or assessment within the wind power plant industry.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
- Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Prior Experience in establishing of a daily wind measurement data monitoring routine and data storage management.
- Prior Experience with Inhouse wind analysis with wind flow models.
- Prior Experience with LiDAR observations and accuracy verification
