An ambitious foreign offshore wind developer is seeking a Cable Package Manager for their upcoming offshore wind farm. The role's primary function is lead a cable team to sucessfully deliver the cable package and ensure that all contracts are managed and delivered within the scope of work.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead a cable installation team, ensuring contract delivery across health, safety, environment, quality, design, program, commercial aspects, claims, and risks.
- Manage project reporting and develop procedures.
- Oversee cables design, supply, installation, and commissioning for offshore wind farms, including burial and protection requirements.
- Collaborate with other project teams.
- Ensure HSSE performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop interfaces with other project packages.
- Manage tender documents, contracts, and day-to-day contractor interactions.
- Report progress and manage technical and commercial risks.
Required Skill and Experience:
- Engineering background with expertise in submarine cable design and installation.
- Strong Project Management experience in offshore submarine cables.
- Proficiency in contract and claims management.
- Motivated with problem-solving skills and basic knowledge of Japanese HSE legislation.
- Business level English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Desired Skills:
- Full fluency in Japanese.
- Experience in international business environments.
