SouthCoast Wind (SCW) is located in Boston, MA, currently developing a 2.4GW lease off the south coast of MA. Two 1.2GW projects are in development with expected FID 2025 and COD 2030. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Wind Grid Manager to join our team. As the Offshore Wind Grid Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of the electrical grid infrastructure associated with our offshore wind farm. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the grid system, optimizing energy output, and facilitating the integration of renewable energy into the broader electrical grid network.

Main Responsibilities
1. Grid Operations Management:
* Monitor and control the offshore grid system to ensure stable and reliable operation.
* Coordinate with onshore grid operators to maintain seamless integration and transmission of power.
* Implement grid control strategies to optimize energy production and minimize downtime.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for grid components such as subsea cables, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.
* Respond promptly to grid-related faults or failures, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
3. Safety and Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits of grid infrastructure to identify potential hazards or compliance issues.
* Implement safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with offshore operations.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Collect and analyze data related to grid performance, energy production, and equipment health.
* Generate reports and performance metrics to track key indicators and identify areas for improvement.
* Provide insights and recommendations to optimize grid efficiency and reliability.
5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
* Lead a team of grid technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision as needed.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and regulatory authorities to support project objectives and resolve complex issues.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience (X years) in a similar role within the renewable energy sector, preferably in offshore wind.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical grid systems, power transmission, and distribution principles.
* Familiarity with offshore operations, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Grid Operator Certification, Offshore Safety Training) preferred.
