Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility in creating and building key power competence across the APAC Renewables organisation, ensuring alignment with the wider portfolio and markets.
  • Work integrated into renewable BD project teams providing market insight, power trends and route to market considerations to strengthen specific business cases and commercialize renewable projects.
  • Working together with downstream colleagues and offshore wind development teams in key markets to secure long-term power sale agreements with corporations and utilities to support the financing and build out of new renewable and/or energy storage projects
  • Remain on top of renewable energy opportunities across APAC markets and associated national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers.
  • Advise on opportunities and challenges on APAC market development and trends, both in terms of regulations and customer behaviour
  • Support driving the wider energy footprint of our client across APAC (eg: LNG, hydrogen, onshore power etc.)
  • Advise on project shaping and develop route to market (offtake) strategies for renewable projects throughout the project lifecycles

Requirements

  • Degree in economics or other relevant formal education
  • Solid experience from the energy, consulting and/or utilities sector
  • Preferably have experience within wholesale electricity sales and/or the renewable energy industry and process
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing relevant agreements
  • Collaborative / Thriving in small, informal, start-up alike and multicultural organisation, with varying tasks
  • Ability to balance long term portfolio view with short- or medium-term deliveries and prioritisation.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset
  • A mindset and desire to lift power market insight into a strategic capability for APAC renewables
  • An open mindset with the ability to connect and collaborate across cultures and geographies
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
