A leading global provider in the data center industry, known for its extensive experience in designing, constructing, and operating energy-efficient, high-performance facilities is currently seeking a strong facilities manager to oversee the management of multiple data centers in Inzai, Chiba.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Operations Engineering team, ensuring smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems, security, and facility management across multiple data centers. Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and operational quality.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers and investors, aligning site operations with contractual agreements and service level agreements (SLAs). Manage customer support, including remote hands services and property management.
  • Foster a positive working environment, promoting diversity, compliance, and governance. Lead people development, CSR activities, and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure zero critical incidents, implement best practices for life cycle management, and drive cost-saving measures. Oversee change management, incident management, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in understanding and managing various types of contracts and SLAs.
  • Expertise in conflict management and problem-solving, with the ability to handle challenging situations.
  • Technical knowledge of data center operations, including M&E systems, security, and facility management.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level English.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and cost management for large-scale operations.
  • Proven track record in collaborating across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of energy-saving initiatives and regulatory compliance within the data center industry.
  • Experience leading audits and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
