Environmental Engineer [Noise Mitigation]

Objective
Support the Environmental Project Manager in the environmental monitoring works and surveys. Manage onshore / offshore environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing support in managing environmental activities (incl. monitoring works, surveys, etc.) at the Baltic Power Project (OWF and GC)
- Responsible for environmental compliance on the project and the relevant work packages
- Responsible for supporting the interface with environmental authorities and undertaking consultations
- Interface with the ESG team and ensuring environmental compliance of the Lender's environmental requirements
- Provide expertise in Ecology and Biodiversity Management/No Net Loss
- Subject Matter Expert in environmental compliance and biodiversity/ecology
Major Tasks
- Provide support in Biodiversity Management and No Net Loss calculations and compensations
- Managing environmental consultants and provide budget planning support
- Project management of projects related to environmental compliance and/or ESG requirements
- Support in the procurement activities
- Support in managing environmental activities (incl. monitoring, surveys, etc.) at the OWF and GC sites
- Support in managing, preparation and review of environmental reports to be submitted to the environmental authorities and Lenders
- Support in analysis of environmental surveys reports provided by the contractors
- Support in managing relevant stakeholders including government authorities and NGOs (fishermen, aviation, government agencies, shipping, nature conservation, conservator of monuments, etc.)
- Identify and monitor environmental-related risks and implement mitigation measures
- Track environmental compliance on the project and provide support to package managers
- Continuous cooperation with other Work Streams, Packages and Units
- Undertake audits/inspections/site visits, as required

Qualifications
- MSc or other relevant Master degree in Environmental Science, with a focus on Ecology and/or Biodiversity
- Relevant work experience with Biodiversity No Net Loss compensation/calculation or local ecology compensation schemes.
- Relevant experience within offshore wind industry or a related industry
- Strong coordination and communication skills in Polish/English
- Relevant transferable education and skills sufficient to perform the Project Tasks
