Formwork Design Engineer

Location: Strood, Bilston, or Drewbury

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
A leading engineering firm is looking for a talented Formwork Design Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, producing designs for temporary works in excavation support, propping, formwork, and falsework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing temporary works designs for formwork, falsework, and excavation support systems.
  • Conducting design checks and ensuring compliance with BS5975:2019 standards.
  • Collaborating with sales, operations, and clients to provide tailored engineering solutions.
  • Attending client meetings and conducting site visits to support project delivery.
  • Managing workload efficiently and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • HND or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in temporary works design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and/or REVIT.
  • Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and experience in formwork/falsework design.
