The purpose of the role is to manage the offshore consenting activities across the Offshore Wind Farm Project, currently in the late development / pre-construction phase.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the major offshore consenting and environment activities for the clients project (wind farm and transmission works). Manage the preparation of offshore consent applications, variations, plans and programmes and discharge of conditions. Manage specialist consultants and their work supporting the offshore consenting aspects of the project. Lead detailed technical discussions with key external stakeholders and internal project stakeholders relating to offshore consenting aspects. Represent the project on relevant industry working groups as appropriate. Provide offshore consenting and environment input (reporting and presentations) to the wider project team and advisors providing expert advice and sharing knowledge.Management of the detailed offshore consenting programmes, budgets and risks ensuring alignment with the wider project. Management of Employers Requirements and review of relevant Contractor documentation. Liaising closely with the wider Consents team, HSE team and technical packages on ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience/Knowledge:

Knowledge and experience of marine planning, consenting and environmental aspects relevant to offshore wind farms.Experience in offshore consent application processes and discharge of conditions. Experience in liaising with key external stakeholders.Experience in construction compliance.

Qualifications

Planning, legal, marine, environmental or geography background and degree qualifications with at least 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline.
