POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Estimator leads estimating for wastewater and mechanical construction projects, managing the preparation of bids and proposals with a team of estimators. The role involves handling 25-50 bids per year, ranging from $5M to $100M, and includes value engineering, scheduling, presentations, and final negotiations with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee bid preparation, pricing, scheduling, and data entry.
- Analyze historical data and coordinate material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Lead scope meetings, value engineering discussions, and negotiations.
- Maintain bid documents, track awarded contracts, and handle change orders.
- Mentor Junior Estimators and provide technical support on bids.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of experience in estimating or engineering, with a focus on wastewater and mechanical construction.
- Ability to manage bids across various project types and supervise estimating teams.
- Proficiency in software tools like HCSS, Primavera, Viewpoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and proposal writing skills.
